Katie Weiner | Jewellery
Katie Weiner has been working as a jeweller for 15 years. When her first daughter was 6 months old she received a dream commission to make jewellery for an Indian wedding, the bride wanted her family jewellery to be given a contemporary twist. At the same time Katie was getting married and took her grandmother’s brooch and up cycled and reworked it to become the centre piece to her necklace giving it a contemporary bohemian edge.
From this a new era dawned and Katie started making one off pieces, picking out beautiful pre-loved treasures and mixing in key pieces with eclectic selections of old and new jewellery to ensure each item is completely individual. An enchanting collection of vintage treasures with a contemporary bohemian edge.
Her range consists of earrings and necklaces, gold plated metal, silver, antiqued metal, semi- precious beaded chain, antique, vintage pieces and vibrant tassels. The metal of the vintage elements is not always known, but this does not distract from the preciousness of these pieces. From simple and small to striking statement pieces.
Commissions have included The British Museum and national press coverage has included The Observer Magazine, Grazia, Red Magazine, Stylist Magazine, Cosmoplitan Magazine and Vogue and most recently has had a couple of pieces bought by the costume designers on the new film prequel to ‘Harry Potter’ called ‘Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them’.
We are delighted to be stocking a number of Katie Weiner’s one off pieces in the gallery; whether worn casual or for a party the pieces are versatile and we feel are sure to be popular.
