Nick Morley
Nick Morley lived and worked in London for ten years after graduating, before moving to Margate in 2011 to set up his own printmaking studio. He specialises in linocut but also works with screenprint, etching and letterpress. His work is collected internationally and his illustrations have appeared on book and magazine covers. Nick’s work explores human relationships, traditions and behaviour, often in a humorous way. He is also interested in our interaction with the natural world and historical depictions of animals in particular. For the last ten years Nick has explored the medium of linocut in depth, finding new ways of creating marks, textures, tone and colour. As well as producing a rich and varied portfolio, this also led to him writing a book, “Linocut for Artists and Designers”, published in 2016 by Crowood Press.
