Limited edition 4 colour screenprint “Halcyon Days” by contemporary printmaker Emma Reynolds.

“The term Halcyon Days originated from a Greek Myth about the Halcyon bird. It was believed that the bird had the power to calm the waves for 14 days while brooding her eggs on her nest. These became known as the “halcyon days”, when storms do not occur. Although in the myth the Halcyon Days occur in the winter, we mostly think of them now as endlessly long happy summer days, with little to worry about. The colours in this print have a faded quality, nodding back to nostalgic summer days spent on the heath.”

We do not roll your artwork in a tube

To protect your valued artwork we at For Arts Sake take the extra step of mounting the print on acid-free board, wrapping it in high clarity cellophane and sending it to you flat-packed rather than rolled. We do not charge extra for this service.

Exceptions to this are international orders, where the flat pack option is much more expensive. We will send out in a tube if you wish to save the expense.
