What’s New I A Printmaker’s London
A blockbuster exhibition of printmakers’ original works on the theme of London opens this autumn
Coming to For Arts Sake this September, we are thrilled to announce one of the biggest ever group shows of original prints devoted to the capital.
‘A Printmaker’s London’ features never-before-seen new works from 60 of the leading contemporary British printmakers, covering the full breadth of techniques from linocut to screenprint, woodcut, etching and lithograph.
Exhibiting artists include Gail Brodholt, Gerry Baptist, Paul Catherall, John Duffin, Louise Hayward, Anna Marrow, Sophie Layton, Martin Grover and many more.
All of the prints are being created exclusively for the exhibition and will only be available from For Arts Sake for the duration of the show. For pre-order enquiries please email [email protected].
We will also be hosting a series of exciting ‘Meet the Artist’ weekends, where many of the exhibiting artists will be talking through their methods and inspirations over a glass of wine and a guided preview of ‘A Printmaker’s London’.
Gallery director Brian Davis says: “We are very pleased to present this unique show. It’s possible that there has never been an occasion when so many artists have come together to present their interpretation of London. We hope you enjoy the exhibition as much as we have curating it.”
You can see the progress of the prints as they unfold, and enjoy some behind-the-scenes peeks into our artists’ studios by following the hashtag #APrintmakersLondon on Instagram and Twitter.
